Dual View Alexandrite
Alexandrite is a rare color-changing stone and The Field Museum’s 11.65-carat alexandrite changes from green in daylight to a dark pink in artificial light. This image shows the same stone in two different types of light.

Natural Heliodor
Heliodor, emerald, aquamarine, and morganite all belong to the same species beryl. In the new Grainger Hall of Gems, visitors will be able to see examples of each gemstone on its matrix.
